PACEMAKERS
Overview and Aim
This was a case study done on Pacemakers as a part of Design of Implants Course during my Masters at Northeastern University. The aim of this case study was to understand the use of pacemakers and the failures of the pacemaker
Performed research on the pacemakers, their working why they are used, the failures of the pacemakers and the FDA requirements for the approval of the Pacemakers
The pacemaker is a medical device that is used to treat Arrhythmia and Bradycardia. The pacemaker is a Class 3 devices in the FDA classification of medical devices which indicates a high risk medical implantable device. Hence a lot of factors are considered in the approval of the Pacemakers.
